is the only way outKyro
Sometimes dying
Dust, sand, heat. That was pretty much everything in the desert. Oh, and occasionally a twisted, dead looking tree. Everything in this godforsaken place was dead, except for me and some insects. It was enough to drive even an antisocial Black Alliance wolf to insanity, which was something. Of course, it was my fault that I was here, but I could rage about it, even if I knew who to blame. Truly, who cared that I stuffed up my navigation and instead of ending up in the mountains I found myself in this f*cking desert? No one. And no one would care if I died out here, not even me.
As annoyed as I was I still managed to see the puff of dust that a lizard disturbed as it moved. I spun around and pounced, catching it under my paws. Its scaly skin moved under my pads like water as it tried to free itself, but I didn't care. I was hungry and when I was hungry I ate. Well, I might play a little first. I lifted one paw from the lizard, making sure that the other still held it firmly down and slapped it down on one of it's spindly little legs. The crack that I heard made a feral grin appear on my face. God, how I loved other animal's pain.
I moved both paws off the lizard and let it try to escape. It went about a metre(3 feet) before stopped, uable to run on its broken leg any further. I growled, my emerald eyes sparkling with the ecstacy of another's pain, before stalking forward. The lizard tried to run again, but I slammed my left paw on to one of its unbroken legs. Now it couldn't run at all. I smiled and grabbed it into my jaws. Then I slowly crushed it between my teeth, all it would feel was pain in its last moments of life.
Once I was satisfied that the creature was in enough pain I shook it, snapping it's neck, and proceeded ripping flesh from bone. I devoured the lizard, filling my stomach so I would survive for at least a few more hours in this dusty, sandy place. Then I would need to figure out how to find water, or how to get out of here. By the time I needed water I sincerely hoped I was out the desert, but you could never be sure. You couldn't be sure about anything, ever.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
